Enforcement on properties marketed without an EPC |

Communities and Local Government, the department responsible for EPC's, have said there may be a significant problem with non-compliance. Margaret Beckett MP (the Minister then responsible) has stated that they are working closely with Trading Standards to ensure that enforcement action is taken. A survey carried out a few months ago showed that of commercial property offered by 108 agents across England and Wales, 81% didn't have the required Energy Performance Certificate.
